Adin Hill
Adin Hill is the second goalie in a Vegas tandem led by Carter Hart, and he has been playing in a real rotation early in 2026-27.
Role
Fox Sports (checked this week) says Hill has not seriously threatened Hart's No. 1 status but has been a reliable backup, and that a somewhat even timeshare could emerge if both stay in good form. ESPN's game log (a search snippet, not read in full) shows Hill starting Oct 4, 8, 13, 17 and 22, five straight starts on those dates, and Hart presumably covering the games between. The Daily Faceoff line page (fetched; last updated Oct 25, source the Oct 24 game vs Columbus) lists only Carter Hart in goal. I could not tell who started Oct 24 or who starts next. Inside the Rink's Oct 22 preview listed Hill and Hart together as the goaltenders. The skaters in front of him are the Eichel-Stone top line and a Theodore-McNabb top pair on that same Daily Faceoff page. I did not find a published start-share or back-to-back policy.
Fox notes he won his first four starts, allowing nine goals on 96 shots, and calls him a reliable backup. A hot goalie in a near-even timeshare on a team with Eichel, Stone, Hertl and Marner (per the Oct 22 projected lines) can collect wins and a large share of starts. Vegas also reportedly said it would lean on both goalies this season, which supports a steady workload for Hill.
Hill lost playing time to Carter Hart at the end of 2025-26 and had a rough 2025-26 overall (27 starts, 10-9-6, 3.04 GAA, .871 save percentage, per Fox). His Oct 22 start at St. Louis was a 6-2 loss with a .806 save percentage per ESPN's log, and Daily Faceoff's current page lists Hart alone as the goalie. If Hart is the preferred starter when both are healthy, Hill's starts could shrink and his ratios have little cushion.
Where analysts split
Whether this is an even timeshare or a Hart-led split with Hill as the reliable backup. Fox allows for a somewhat even split but still calls Hart No. 1. I found no beat-writer piece that settles it, so the start-share is the open question.
Research confidence: thin. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
