David Roddy

Consensus #175 · SF75 · tier 6Updated Oct 26

David Roddy is not in the NBA this season: he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem in July 2026, so he has no NBA fantasy role unless he returns to the league.

Role

No NBA minutes or usage. Hoops Rumors reported in July 2026 that he signed a one-year deal with Hapoel Jerusalem, which plays in the EuroCup and Israel's top league, and that he figures to play a prominent role there. Hapoel's own release, quoted by Yahoo Sports, says the deal runs through the 2026/27 season. I found no report of an NBA signing or return since then. I did not check NBA.com transactions.

The case for

The only optimistic angle is a future return. Rotoballer, citing Harrison Wind in July 2026, said he may come back to the NBA at some point after reinventing himself overseas. Nothing I found gives a timeline.

The case against

He is out of the league for now. Hoops Rumors noted he has no two-way eligibility left and likely struggled to find guaranteed NBA money this offseason. Rotoballer said his NBA role had shrunk in recent years. His last NBA stint was a two-way deal with Denver that began in March 2026.
