Anthony Richard
Anthony Richard is not a Philadelphia Flyers player for the 2026-27 season: multiple May 2026 reports say he left the organization to sign in Switzerland, so he has no path to NHL fantasy relevance with Philadelphia this year.
Role
According to Pro Hockey Rumors and Yardbarker (both May 18, 2026), HC Fribourg-Gotteron of the Swiss National League announced it had signed Richard for the 2026-27 season after he became eligible for unrestricted free agency out of the Flyers organization; Eliteprospects logged the transfer as confirmed on May 18, 2026. A September 1, 2026 Flyers season preview from NHL Rumors lists Richard among players who 'departed via free agency or trade' over the summer, thinning the team's forward depth. There is no line, power-play, or ice-time role to report because he is not in Flyers training camp and will not be on the Philadelphia roster when the season opens September 29, 2026.
There is no bull case to make for fantasy purposes tied to the Flyers: he is playing in Switzerland, not the NHL, this season.
The bear case is simply factual: he signed away from the Flyers organization in May 2026 and is not on an NHL depth chart, so he offers nothing for an NHL fantasy roster this season.
Where analysts split
No divergence exists among sources: every current report (Pro Hockey Rumors, Yardbarker, Eliteprospects, NHL Rumors' Flyers preview) agrees Richard left the Flyers organization for HC Fribourg-Gotteron in May 2026.
