I could not confirm where Kaliyev is playing this season. Daily Faceoff's player page lists him as a free agent, and he does not appear in the Senators lines I found for October 2026.

No NHL role confirmed. The fetches of Daily Faceoff's Senators line page and his player page both failed, so I have not read either page. Search snippets of the Senators lines, from The Morning Puck (about 8 days old) and SensChirp (updated October 12, 2026), name 12 forwards and none is Kaliyev. Those lines had Halliday-Stützle-Batherson, Burakovsky-Cozens-Giroux, Cousins-Pinto-Amadio and Foegele-Greig-Zetterlund. A Daily Faceoff snippet showing last-game lines from October 17 also leaves him out. His player page, as indexed, shows him as a free agent after a 1-year, $775,000 deal that ran through 2026. I could not date that listing, and I did not check NHL.com transactions, so I do not know whether he signed elsewhere, is in the AHL, or is unsigned. Last season he played 2 NHL games with Ottawa and averaged about 10:37 a game, per RotoWire via CBS. He then went back to AHL Belleville.
He is a pure shooter. Last season's line was 4 shots on goal in 2 games, plus a power-play assist. RotoWire said he had 36 points in 32 AHL games by the end of 2025. If he is on a roster, an injury to a top-line winger could open a short-term scoring slot, as the Tkachuk injury did in October 2025. I found no evidence of that this season.
The beat consensus is that he is a bottom-six player at best. RotoWire noted he is not physical, which hurts his fit on a gritty Ottawa team.
