Cole O'Hara

Consensus #217 · RW43 · tier 10Week 5: 3 gamesUpdated Oct 12

O'Hara is a prospect with one NHL game behind him, and I found no current reporting that puts him in Nashville's lineup, so he is a speculative depth option for now.

Role

Not confirmed. The Morning Puck's Predators lines page, indexed 6 days ago, lists no O'Hara among its twelve forwards: Stamkos-O'Reilly-Marchessault, Forsberg-Wood-Hoglander, Schaefer-Drury-Edstrom, Kerfoot-Pinchuk-Colton. I read that from a search snippet, not the live page. My fetch of Daily Faceoff's line page failed, so I have not read its current lines. A gamedaytweets.com snippet quotes a beat-writer tweet of training-camp lines with Edstrom-Drury-O'Hara as a fourth line. The snippet is undated, and I can't tell whether it is from this camp or last season's, so I am not relying on it. I did not confirm whether he is on the NHL roster or in Milwaukee (AHL) today. A Wikipedia entry from 66 days ago lists him with Milwaukee. There is nothing on power-play or penalty-kill usage and no ice-time projection. His one NHL game, on April 16, 2026 against Anaheim, was in a bottom-six role at 11 minutes of ice time, per our data and a fptrack.com note.

The case for

He was a productive AHL rookie, with 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists) in 65 games and the Milwaukee lead in goals when Nashville recalled him on April 16, 2026 (NHL.com). He also had a strong UMass career and a reputation as a playmaking right wing who impressed the coach in his first camp, with a stint on a line with O'Reilly and Stamkos in a 2025 preseason game (Main Street Media). Nashville's right side looks unsettled in the sources I saw, so a call-up with top-six minutes is conceivable. I found no reporting that says this is planned.

The case against

He has one NHL game, and the only current lineup page I saw has no place for him. The right side on that page is Marchessault, Hoglander, Edstrom and Colton. Last year's Main Street Media piece had several former first-round picks ahead of him in the pecking order. fptrack.com called his fantasy impact neutral in a bottom-six role. With no confirmed NHL spot, there is no clear path to scoring-line or power-play minutes.

Where analysts split

Broad agreement on the little there is: no analyst coverage of him as a current NHL option turned up. The open question is whether he is on Nashville's active roster at all, which I could not settle.

Research confidence: thin. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
