Snuggerud is a top-line right wing who also works on the first power-play unit, and the reporting I found has him scoring at a fast early pace.
Role
Recent game data points to the top line with center Robert Thomas. Dobber's Frozen Pool game data for the Oct. 31 game against Detroit shows him with Thomas and Jake Neighbours for the most time, then Thomas and Dylan Holloway. The Oct. 22 Vegas game data shows Holloway on that line. RotoWire, via CBS on Oct. 18, said he plays on the top line and first power-play unit. Fox Sports' Oct. 30 note says he is in a top-six role and has a new role on the top power-play unit. Ice time was 15:46 to 20:28 in the five games listed by Sportsforecaster through Oct. 22, and 17:28 per game for October on ESPN's player page. I did not fetch Daily Faceoff's line page, so I am not reporting its current lines. No injury is flagged.
He is on the top line and first power-play unit, and he is scoring: seven goals through the Oct. 30 win over Boston, per ESPN and Fox. ESPN notes about 2.2 shots per game. RotoWire's preseason view was that he gets all the ice time he can handle and could reach 25 goals, 60 points, 200 shots and 100 hits if his game grows.
The line is not stable. His left winger has rotated between Holloway and Neighbours, and Mason McTavish and Pavel Buchnevich have briefly joined that line. The scoring may be running hot: seven of his first goals came in 13 games, and Fox noted that his Oct. 20 power-play goal was his first with the man advantage since March 8. RotoWire flagged a sophomore slump as the main concern. Dobber Prospects calls him a support player more than a pace pusher, which caps his upside.
Where analysts split
The open question is who plays on his wing, and on which power-play unit. Sources disagree on whether Holloway or Neighbours skates with him and Thomas. They also disagree on the first power-play unit: ESPN lists Neighbours on the second unit, while 5v5 Hockey (as of Oct. 24) and Ship It Nation list Neighbours on the first. Nobody I found disputes that Snuggerud holds the top-line right wing job.
