Jordan Eberle
Eberle is a 36-year-old right wing who has been in Seattle's top six and on a power-play unit through the first weeks of 2026-27, but the unit and the line slot have changed from game to game.
Role
In the Inside the Rink projection for the Oct. 24 game against Minnesota, he skates on line 1 with Jared McCann and Matty Beniers. The same page has him on the first power-play unit with Bobby McMann, McCann, Chandler Stephenson and Vince Dunn. That is a change from Oct. 15, when the projection had him on line 2 with McMann and Stephenson and on the second power-play unit. Dobber's Frozen Tools last-game data for Oct. 24 shows him at even strength with Kaapo Kakko and Beniers for about 11 minutes, and with Stephenson, Beniers and McMann for about 2.5 minutes. Its depth-chart table lists him at 16:39 average ice time, 2:33 of it on the power play. The competition for his slot is Mackie Samoskevich, who was on line 1 in the Oct. 6 and Oct. 15 projections, and Kakko. I did not fetch a Daily Faceoff page or a Kraken beat-writer piece, so I have not read Daily Faceoff's own page. All of this comes from third-party projections and tracking pages, last checked around Oct. 24-26.
He has been on a power-play unit in every projection I found, and he has moved up to line 1 alongside McCann and Beniers. The underlying numbers back that up. Inside the Rink, citing Box Score Junkie, has him at 63.3 shot attempts for per 60 and a 53.7% Fenwick across 181 minutes. It reports four goals on exactly 4.0 expected, so the scoring isn't running on luck. A Kraken preview from Oct. 15 called him the one forward driving play. He also had a goal and an assist on five shots in 18:19 in his most recent game before Oct. 24.
His spot is not locked in. He has moved between line 1 and line 2, and between PP1 and PP2, over about two weeks, and the most recent tracked game had him with different linemates for most of his even-strength time. Samoskevich and Kakko are the players who can take the top-line right wing spot if the coach reshuffles. He is 36, and the club has several younger forwards, including Catton, Wright and Samoskevich, who are also in the lineup.
Where analysts split
There is no real analyst debate, but the projections disagree on one concrete question: whether Eberle stays on line 1 and the first power-play unit, or goes back to line 2 and the second unit. Oct. 6 and Oct. 15 had him on line 2, Oct. 20 and Oct. 24 had him on line 1, and the Oct. 15 and Oct. 24 projections disagreed on which power-play unit he was on. I found no beat-writer or analyst piece that argues either side.
Research confidence: thin. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
