No NHL line, power-play or penalty-kill role found. RotoWire's player page (retrieved today) shows him as a Red Wings center in the minors, with the waiver news dated September 23, 2026. Wikipedia lists him with the Grand Rapids Griffins while under contract to Detroit. I did not find a report saying he cleared waivers, so I can't give the day or the mechanics. Detroit Hockey Now's lines page (indexed 3 days ago) and The Morning Puck's expected lines for October 9 do not include him. I could not fetch Daily Faceoff's live line page, so I am not reporting what it says. Detroit's centers in the reporting I read are Larkin, Finnie, Copp, Danielson, Rasmussen and Kasper, with Compher and Appleton also appearing in the recent lineup notes. Those are the players ahead of him if he is recalled. He signed a one-year, two-way deal on July 1 that pays $850K in the NHL and $250K in the minors, per Detroit Hockey Now.
The case for him is thin and rests on his AHL record, not on any NHL role. He had 37 points in 61 games for Charlotte last season, including 18 goals. Detroit Hockey Now's lineup notes show injuries and IR moves among Detroit's forwards (Compher and Kasper went on IR, per its changelog), so a recall is possible. I found no report naming him as a recall candidate.
Detroit waived him in September and he is in the AHL. He has three NHL games to his name, all with Florida. Last season he had 0 G and 2 A in those three games, with 45 total TOI. The team has several centers in front of him, and its second power-play unit and penalty kill appear to be settled in the lines coverage I read.
