Olivier Sarr
Olivier Sarr is not in the NBA this season: Hoops Rumors and EuroLeague.net reported in mid-August 2026 that he signed a two-year deal with Real Madrid, so he has no NBA fantasy role.
Role
He has no NBA role. He is in Real Madrid's frontcourt, and TalkBasket framed the signing as added depth after Usman Garuba's serious Achilles injury. I found no minutes, usage or starter information for his Madrid role. I also found nothing showing an NBA club holds his rights or has offered him a contract.
The optimistic argument is about his game, not an NBA opportunity. TalkBasket credits him with size, mobility, shot-blocking and floor-spacing potential, and says he shot 39.1 percent from three in 50 NBA games. EuroLeague.net called his 2025-26 season strong. None of that points to NBA minutes this season.
Cleveland's frontcourt ran through Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, which Heavy said left little path to steady minutes for him on a two-way deal. Hoops Rumors reported that he averaged 3.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes over four NBA games last season. It also reported that he has no two-way eligibility left after four years of NBA service. His Madrid contract runs through the 2027-28 season.
