Goff is the Lions' entrenched starter and has played efficiently so far this season, with the main near-term question being a tough Week 8 matchup against Minnesota.

Every-down starting QB for Detroit. I found no snap-share figure. Reporting names Jameson Williams (both touchdowns vs. Green Bay) and Sam LaPorta (a 38-yard touchdown vs. Arizona) among his scoring targets. The Lions also ground out the Green Bay win by running the ball (Side Lion Report). I found no target-share or depth-chart data, so I make no claim about who competes for work.
Goff has not thrown an interception this season. One piece has him at 150 of 223 for 1,788 yards and 14 touchdowns (Men's Journal), and The Big Lead has him leading the NFL in passer rating at 112.5. ESPN notes three 300-yard games in six games. The Packers game was his 303 yards on 9.5 yards per attempt, and Detroit scored 20 points on 10 drives while going 2-for-5 in the red zone (Sportsnaut), so the offense leaves room for more.
Week 8 is at Minnesota, and The Big Lead has the Vikings as the stingiest defense against QBs (10.6 fantasy points per game allowed) and says Brian Flores' pressure limits Goff's ceiling. Detroit's offense has also been sloppy: two Green Bay forced fumbles took points off the board, and there were red-zone and fourth-down failures (Side Lion Report, Sportsnaut). The Lions' defense is weak, per Men's Journal.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is narrow: whether Goff's strong form (no interceptions, elite passer rating) outweighs the Vikings' defense in Week 8. The Big Lead ranks him QB14 and a sit in one-QB leagues, while Sportsnaut calls the matchup a dream and ESPN stresses his recent production. Beyond this one game I found no real split on his role.
