Allen is the consensus fantasy QB1 and an every-week starter for the rest of the season, with his rushing the main source of his value and a bye in Week 7.
Role
He is the Bills' unquestioned starting QB. FantasyPros' Week 6 page lists him as QB #1 in expert consensus rankings. Buffalo is on bye in Week 7 and plays Baltimore in Week 8, per FantasyPros and Razzball. I did not find a snap share or a competitor for the job. Receiving help is the open question: D.J. Moore, acquired in March, was reported by Yahoo (about five days ago) as missing Wednesday practice with a shoulder injury before the Raiders game. I did not find whether he played or what his status is now. Khalil Shakir led the 2025 Bills in receiving yards, per FantasyPros' preseason outlook. The wire note has Allen at five carries for 1 yard against the Raiders. Yahoo reported he ran for 121 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 overtime win.
He has finished as the overall QB1 four times in six seasons, per FantasyPros and Fantasy Alarm. FantasyPros says his rushing anchors his value, at 579 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2025, his third straight season with double-digit rushing touchdowns. Fantasy Alarm calls him a bulletproof profile, and the Moore trade was meant to give him a real boundary receiver. Yahoo says he has shown he can carry the offense.
FantasyPros notes his 2025 passing yards per game, touchdown passes and fantasy points per game were all six-year lows, and that Buffalo has lacked pass-catching weapons. Fantasy Alarm adds that his passing touchdown totals have fallen five seasons in a row, so production leans on rushing touchdowns, which adds week-to-week variance. Yahoo flagged that leaning on his legs can't replace a healthy passing attack if Moore is out.
Where analysts split
Broad agreement on Allen's status as the top QB. The only soft spot in what I found is how much the passing game, especially Moore's shoulder, can support him if his rushing touchdowns dry up. I found no analyst arguing against his standing.
