Pascal Siakam
Siakam is Indiana's lead scorer and top frontcourt option through two regular-season games, and his minutes and role look secure with no injury designation.
Role
He has played two regular-season games: 35 minutes and 30 points at New Orleans on Oct 21, then 29 minutes and 23 points in a 121-105 home loss to Dallas on Oct 23 (NBA.com and ESPN logs). That is about 32 minutes a game, with 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Tyrese Haliburton returned from his Achilles rupture in the opener with 23 points and 12 assists (AP via Yahoo), so Siakam now shares the offense with him. I did not find a source confirming the starting five, a back-to-back rest plan or his usage rate. Rotowire and Fox Sports describe him as the top frontcourt option. An 8points9seconds piece from before the season urged more small-ball minutes at center for him, and it said Ivica Zubac is the better center. I did not confirm who starts at center or what Siakam's center share is this season.
Haliburton is back and Siakam is still the clear first or second scoring option. He scored 24 points on 8-10 shooting in 21 preseason minutes, and he has 53 points in two games on 21 shots and 14 free-throw attempts. Rotowire's coverage says he should remain heavily involved offensively.
The Pacers are coming off a rebuilding year, so the team context is shaky. The Dallas game was a blowout loss in which Siakam committed five turnovers on 57 percent free-throw shooting. Two games is a tiny sample, and Haliburton's return may take some shots and playmaking away from him. I found no reporting on how Haliburton's minutes are being managed.
Where analysts split
I found no real analyst disagreement, only stat-line recaps and one lineup-theory piece. The one open question is whether Siakam plays meaningful minutes at center next to or behind Zubac. I could not find current reporting that settles it.
Research confidence: thin. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
