Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta are the other main pass-game options. Detroit's last four games had him at 11, 13, 8 and 11 targets, per RotoWire's logs and the wire note. The wire note puts him at 11 targets in the Cardinals win, with two fumbles that Detroit kept.
Volume and red-zone usage are elite. He has had double-digit targets in most games this year, and he led the NFL in red-zone targets early. His rapport with Goff carried over after Ben Johnson left, and the Lions offense ranked fifth in points per drive entering Week 4. CBS and Pro Football Network both called him one of the safest players at the position, citing three straight seasons of 1,250 or more receiving yards.
The per-target efficiency is thin. TDSNAP had him at 9.8 yards per reception and 6.6 yards per target after four games, both near the bottom of the league.
