Watson is Green Bay's No. 2 option behind Matthew Golden and a vertical, boom-or-bust deep threat who still has big-play upside, with durability as the standing worry.

He is an outside receiver, and the deep-ball specialist in the Packers' receiver group alongside Golden. Per CBS/ESPN's note on the Cowboys game, he tied TE Tucker Kraft for second on the team in targets, five behind Golden. Packers beat-site film work (Yahoo, about 35 days old) has him lining up outside on about 75% of his snaps in one game. I did not find a current snap-share figure or an official depth chart reading, so I can't give a snap percentage. Competition for work comes from Golden, Kraft, Jayden Reed and RB MarShawn Lloyd. Romeo Doubs is gone, per ESPN's note.
NBC Sports calls him firmly in the weekly WR1 mix and says he continues to break out. He has been efficient in the vertical role, with ESPN noting he ranked second in average depth of target, yards per reception and yards per target in each of the last two seasons. ESPN also says he could lead Green Bay in targets now that Doubs is gone. The Cowboys game was a down day with Joey Porter Jr. on him, which NBC says helped Golden. ESPN points to a Week 7 matchup with the Lions, whose pass defense it says has struggled in coverage.
Volume is uneven and the offense is deep-ball dependent. Watson had a season-low three targets against Tampa Bay in Week 4, when Jordan Love went short to Kraft and Golden. Against Dallas he had eight targets but caught only three, and Golden led the team. ESPN calls him a volatile flex option and says durability is an obvious concern. He has never had a top-40 fantasy season, per ESPN.
