Parker Washington
Washington is Jacksonville's No. 2 receiver by snaps and the most productive and involved wideout so far this season, but his week-to-week target volume swings widely.
Role
He is a full-time starter who splits time between the slot and the outside. Athlon's Week 6 snap table (published today) has him at 52 snaps, 74%, against the Texans. Rotowire's season snap distribution has Jakobi Meyers at 80%, Washington at 77%, Brian Thomas Jr. at 48%, Josh Cameron at 31% and Travis Hunter at 7%. FantasyData's recap, written after Week 5, said he had played at least 80% of snaps in each of his last four games, so the 74% against Houston was a small dip. Athlon says Jacksonville is heading into its bye and that Thomas sits fourth in the rotation behind Meyers, Washington and Cameron. Targets have ranged from 3 to 12 per game. His game log shows 12 in Week 2, 3 at Cincinnati, 9 against Philadelphia and 11 against Houston per the wire note. Rotowire has him at 22 catches, 352 yards and 4 touchdowns through Week 5.
He is the most talented and most involved receiver on the team, according to NBC Sports/Rotoworld after his two-touchdown game in Week 5. He has the snap share to match, and he can play both slot and perimeter, having logged 300-plus snaps in each last year. Sports Illustrated reported in camp that he routinely led Trevor Lawrence's targets, and the Week 6 usage (11 targets) fits that. Thomas has fallen to fourth in the rotation, which leaves Washington's lane open.
The workload is volatile. He drew only 3 targets (13% share) in the Week 4 win at Cincinnati, a game where Lawrence threw just 23 passes. A win-heavy, run-leaning script can shrink the pass volume he depends on. He is also a 5-foot-10 slot type who is not a burner, and Jacksonville has more receiver talent behind him: Meyers, Thomas, Hunter and Cameron. If Thomas or Hunter takes on a bigger role after the bye, his targets could be split.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is whether his Weeks 2, 5 and 6 target volume is his true baseline or whether the quiet weeks (3 targets at Cincinnati, 5 against New England) are. This depends on game script and on whether Thomas and Hunter get more work. Sources I found are mostly bullish, and I did not find a major analyst calling him a fade.
