Lamb is Dallas's clear WR1 and a heavy-volume target, and the only live questions are whether his Week 5 injury scare leaves any lingering limit and how much Dak Prescott's play under pressure caps the output.

Per NextDownIQ (checked Oct 20), through Week 5 he had 51 targets, 507 yards and 4 TDs, a 10.2 targets-per-game average and a 27% target share. Weekly targets were 8, 9, 8, 21, 5 and then 18 against Green Bay (NBC Sports and RotoBaller, Oct 19). NextDownIQ puts his snap share at 76% for the season, down to 57% in Week 5 from 81% before it. NBC Sports says he left that Week 5 game after two catches for nine yards on five targets, was in visible discomfort, and the injury was not believed to be serious. I found no current Week 6 snap count. George Pickens is the main target competitor: Pickens out-targeted Lamb 11 to 8 in Week 3 and earlier led the receiver room in some games. Statchasers lists Jonathan Mingo as the next wideout on the depth chart, but I have not fetched the depth chart page itself.
The volume is elite and the quarterback looks for him near the end zone. He has 6 red-zone targets, three straight 100-yard games through Week 4, a 17-for-21, 189-yard game against Houston, and 18 targets even in a loss. Analysts at NBC Sports and Fantasy Football Calculator call him the clear WR1 over Pickens, and the usage looks sustainable.
Efficiency and offensive quality are the concern. Against Green Bay he turned 18 targets into 70 yards, and RotoBaller blamed Prescott's trouble handling pressure. The Cowboys lost that game 23-13. Pickens still takes a real share of the targets. The Week 5 snap dip to 57% shows how quickly his workload can fall if the injury returns, and his Week 5 line was the season low.
Where analysts split
Mostly broad agreement that he is the Cowboys' top option. The one open question is whether the huge target counts from Weeks 4 and 6 (21 and 18) are his new baseline or a product of game script and defenses, with Pickens and Prescott's pressure issues limiting the yardage.
