Santos is the Bears' established kicker with no sign of competition, and his production this season depends on how many scoring drives Chicago sustains.

He is the Bears' only placekicker in the coverage I found, and he also handles kickoffs. Snap share isn't a meaningful measure for a kicker. Volume tracks Chicago's offense: the Packers game gave him one field-goal attempt and one PAT. An ESPN profile snapshot, which may predate that game, showed 7-for-8 on field goals and 13-for-13 on PATs for 2026. I found no reporting of a kicking competitor or a depth-chart change.
He is the most accurate kicker in Bears history (88.3% per the club's site, in a piece about last season's Special Teams Player of the Year award). He made 25 of 30 field goals and all 39 PATs last season. He has been strong from 50 yards and beyond, with four makes on four tries last season. An ESPN profile snapshot showed him perfect from 30 yards and out through the 40s, and one for one from 50-plus, before the Packers game. A Fox Sports note carried from RotoWire says he is set to kick for Chicago for a seventh straight season. Bears coverage also credits the offense with plenty of scoring drives, and the team's best season in a decade included clutch kicks.
At 34, he is a good kicker on an offense whose output is uncertain, and the 31-7 loss to the Packers shows how a lopsided game can cut kicker opportunities to a single field-goal try and PAT, which he missed and made respectively. His field-goal chances depend on drives stalling in range. Last season he also missed Weeks 6 and 7 with an injury, per the club bio, so availability has been a past risk. No injury is listed now.
