Reichard is the Vikings' undisputed kicker and, through five games, one of the most productive in the league. His production is driven by an offense that stalls and settles for field goals.

He is the full-time kicker (field goals, extra points) with no competitor in the coverage I found. ESPN's player page shows he is 15-for-15 on field goals through five games and has made at least three field goals in each of his last four. Minnesota's Week 6 is a bye, and the Colts follow on Oct. 25 (ESPN). He had five field goals against Miami in Week 4 and three against New Orleans in Week 5, including makes from 54 and 55 yards. The Star Tribune reports the Vikings' offense continues to struggle, so his volume has come from stalled drives. I did not find snap counts, because kickers do not have a published snap share.
He has made 31 straight field goals, per the Star Tribune on Oct. 11. The Star Tribune also frames him as an early MVP candidate. He has hit from 50-plus yards repeatedly, and ESPN lists him among five kickers with at least five makes from that range. The Vikings are 5-0 and lean on him. He accounted for all 15 points in the Week 4 win over Miami, and the Week 5 win over the Saints came with three more field goals.
A perfect streak this long usually has to regress, and his volume depends on an offense that keeps stalling short of the end zone. If Kyler Murray and the offense start scoring touchdowns, his attempts could fall. Several of his makes have come from long range, which carries more variance. The one cautionary precedent I found is from his rookie year: after missing two kicks, he went on injured reserve with a quad injury. That is past history, and he has no injury designation now.
Where analysts split
broad agreement. I found no analyst disputing his job or his skill. The only open question is how many attempts he will get if the offense improves, and I found no reporting that argues it either way.
