Cameron Dicker
Dicker is the Chargers' established starting kicker and one of the most accurate in NFL history, so his rest-of-season output depends mostly on how many scoring chances the Chargers offense gives him.

He is the full-time placekicker (field goals and extra points). The Chargers' preseason finale had JK Scott take over kickoffs after a minor Dicker issue. I found nothing showing that carried into the season, and Dicker has no injury designation. I found no current roster competition for the field-goal job. The training camp preview lists only JK Scott and Josh Harris as the other specialists. Wire note: 1-for-1 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points in the 23-17 loss to Denver. Per a local column dated October 9, he scored 11 points in the 30-23 loss at Seattle: field goals of 40, 39 and 36 yards plus two extra points. I did not read a snap or depth chart page, so I am not stating a depth chart position.
Per Wikipedia's career stats through Week 4 of 2026, he has made 135 of 146 field goals (92.5%), the best career percentage in NFL history among kickers with 100 or more attempts. He was a 2025 Pro Bowler, and his 38 made field goals that year were third most in the league (FantasyFootballCalculator, citing a preseason note). Chargers' own coverage frames him as a record-chasing, dependable kicker. FantasyData's page lists him at K10 for Week 5 after a slow start. His results at Seattle show he produces when the offense reaches field-goal range.
The risk is volume. RotoBaller's Week 3 note called him the K32 in fantasy scoring through two weeks, with 4 total points, and blamed a lackluster Chargers offense. It advised keeping him out of lineups until the offense improved. A preseason note also said he could see fewer field goal opportunities in 2026. FantasyData's current ranking, K28 (the page is undated, so I can't say how current it is), also points to a slow start. Losses in which the Chargers play from behind or stall don't create steady kicking chances.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is about offensive volume, not Dicker's skill. One side expects an offense that reaches field-goal range often enough to restore the preseason K4-type workload. The other sees a stalling Chargers offense that limits his attempts. No source I found doubts his accuracy or his job security.
