Chad Ryland
Ryland is Arizona's starting kicker and is playing well, with a career-high six field goals in the 18-16 win over the Rams, but his fantasy output follows how often the offense stalls and settles for field goals.
Role
He is the sole kicker and handles field goals, extra points and kickoffs. The Cardinals' site lists him at 8 of 10 on field goals and 12 of 12 on extra points through 5 games in 2026. ESPN's page shows 87.5% on field goals, with a long of 60. Arizona Sports (Oct. 19) reports he scored all 18 of Arizona's points against the Rams. I found no current reporting on any kicker competing with him. I did not read an official depth chart.
He has a strong leg, with a 60-yarder as the first half expired this season and a 2-for-3 start from 50-plus yards. He kicked the game-winner from 43 yards against the Rams after hitting five earlier. Fox Sports' RotoWire notes (dated about 56 days ago, so early in the season) said he stays fantasy relevant if the offense keeps moving the ball.
His accuracy has been shaky. The team's own site shows 75.8% on field goals in 2025, and one RotoWire item from earlier this season said Arizona should consider upgrading at kicker. His volume depends on an offense that sometimes stalls: the Cardinals lost 45-21 to Detroit on Oct. 11, and Ryland went 3-for-3 on extra points with no field-goal attempts.
Where analysts split
Broad agreement on his role. The only open question I found is whether his 2026 accuracy holds up, given the 2025 dip, and whether Arizona's offense keeps producing field-goal chances. I found no analyst argument over his job.
