Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid is Josh Allen's most-used tight end this season, with a bigger role than last year, and the ribs issue looks minor after he finished Sunday's game.

Week 1 against Houston: 42 of 57 snaps (73%) and a route on nearly 70% of dropbacks (NBC Sports). Week 4 against the Patriots: 35 of 59 snaps (59%), fewer than Dawson Knox (Yahoo snap counts). Reporting before the season said the Bills want multiple tight ends on the field, with Knox and Jackson Hawes as the other two (ESPN, via FFC). Keleki Latu led the tight ends in preseason snaps in one August game. Kincaid had 7 catches on 8 targets on Sunday at Las Vegas (wire). I did not find a current snap share for Sunday's game.
ESPN reported that Kincaid is healthier than last year, with no snap restrictions (NBC Sports, 16 days old). The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia wrote that his health, summer usage and ability point toward a larger role in 2026. Kincaid led the team in targets, catches and yards in the Week 2 win over Detroit, and he lined up in-line, in the slot, out wide and in the backfield (Draft Sharks). He also led all tight ends in air yards in Week 1.
His snaps are not locked in. He played fewer snaps than Knox in the Week 4 loss to the Patriots, and offensive coordinator Joe Brady said afterward that Kincaid should not have had only two targets. Production swings with the game. He had 2 catches for 38 yards against the Chargers, and 1 catch for 7 yards against the Rams. The Bills also spread targets across their receivers and run a lot, so touchdown volume can be low. He now has a ribs designation too.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is about snap share. Optimists see a 70%-plus player who is used all over the formation. The Athletic's Buscaglia says he is not on the verge of 75% or more. A 59% game against New England, with Knox ahead of him, shows the blocking-heavy tight end sets can still take snaps from him.
