Trey McBride
McBride is the focal point of Arizona's passing game and, from the current coverage I found, a high-volume tight end whose yardage and touchdowns have lagged his target count for most of the season.

CBS Sports (about a day old) says he has at least seven catches in all seven games, with four touchdowns. Sumer Sports shows 28.5% target share and 231 routes through this season's games, and PFF listed him first among tight ends in targets and routes run (a snapshot about 21 days old). Arizona's snap report, via Football Nation, had him on 70 of 72 offensive snaps against the Rams. Against Denver he had 13 targets, about 27% of team targets per NBC Sports. FantasyData noted double-digit targets in each of the first three games, and Fox noted a fourth straight such game in Week 5. Backup TE Elijah Higgins has scored from Jacoby Brissett, but I found no evidence he takes meaningful targets. Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kendrick Bourne are the other pass-catchers named in the coverage, and I did not find a current target split for them. Dallas is next on the schedule (Week 8).
The volume is the most stable thing on the roster. He is on the field for almost every snap, leads the team in targets and receptions in the game logs I read, and runs short and intermediate routes that suit Brissett's quick, short-pass style (FantasyData put his aDOT at 5.9). NBC calls him a weekly TE1 and says he is great at getting open on crossers and outs. The Denver game was his first 100-yard game of the season, and coach Mike LaFleur has called his number in the red zone.
The volume has not turned into big plays or much scoring. PFF's snapshot showed 7.3 yards per reception, and Sumer lists 1.56 yards per route run this season against 1.77 last year and 2.14 in 2024. NBC notes that Denver was his first 100-yard game of the year. Arizona keeps losing and the offense is struggling (Fox noted double-digit targets he could not turn into production in Week 5). The yardage ceiling is limited by short targets and a lagging offense.
