Wicks is a depth and deep-ball receiver in Philadelphia's passing game, and he is out with an ankle injury after a quiet start to the season, so he has no usable role until he returns.

No snap share or target share figure was found in the coverage I read. He was the No. 3 or No. 4 option, behind DeVonta Smith and rookie Makai Lemon, with Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore, Hollywood Brown and Britain Covey also in the room. Yahoo's player page (indexed about 11 days ago) said he was mostly a forgotten man in three of the last four games, with two catches for 24 yards in Week 6. It lists 284 yards and 1 TD this season. He was inactive for Monday night's Week 7 game against Dallas. The ankle injury came late in Week 6 on top of a hamstring strain he had been carrying since practice before Week 5 (Pro Football Network). Whether he returns for Week 8 has not been reported in anything I found.
The Eagles traded for him and extended him, and offensive coordinator Sean Mannion knows him from Green Bay. In August, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported people around the team were really excited about him. NBC Sports (Aug. 5) described him as the deep-ball specialist who could produce occasional spike weeks. Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice thought he would probably be the No. 2 receiver if A.J. Brown were traded. With Smith also hurt, targets could open up when he is healthy.
The production hasn't matched the hype. Yahoo says he has been largely absent from the game plan in several recent games. He has been hurt since before Week 5, first with a hamstring and now an ankle. Once Smith and Lemon are healthy, NBC Sports expected him to settle into a No. 3 role, and the room is crowded with Cooper, Moore, Brown and Covey. Mannion's offense has been described as sputtering.

The open question is whether he is a real No. 2 receiver or a boom-or-bust No. 3. The August view saw a No. 2 role if Brown left, while NBC Sports expected a No. 3 role behind a healthy Smith and Lemon. The in-season usage I found points to the lower end. I found no fresh analyst argument about his role after the ankle injury, and no return timeline.
