Drake London
London is Atlanta's clear No. 1 target through six games, and his production tracks which quarterback is playing: it was strong with Michael Penix and weak with Cooper Rush.
Role
CBS Sports (Oct. 19) has him at 31 catches, 550 yards and 0 touchdowns on 47 targets through Week 6, and he led the team in targets against the Bears. DraftSharks (about Oct. 12) put his season target share at 28.3%. FantasyLife (about Oct. 16) had it near 25% for the season and 31% over the last three weeks with Penix. NBC Sports/Rotoworld had him on 60 of 61 snaps and 28 of 29 dropbacks in the Week 5 loss to the Ravens. Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson are the other pass-catchers named in the coverage. I did not find a depth chart or a current snap-share table, so there are no other snap figures.
With Penix healthy, London's target share was north of 30% last season and is back at 31% with a 52% air-yards share over the last three weeks (FantasyLife). He averaged 20.9 PPR points per game after Penix returned, and he led all WRs in receiving yards per game over that stretch (DraftSharks). That includes a 9-194-0 game against Green Bay. He has no touchdowns yet, so touchdown regression would help him.
The quarterback situation is unstable. Week 1 was a 2-29 game with Rush starting after Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) and Penix (knee) were unavailable. NBC called London a non-factor in Week 5 because Rush was ineffective, and said he is hard to trust with Rush or probably even Tagovailoa under center. The Bears game was 4-62 on 10 targets, and NBC noted the Falcons abandoned the run. He still has no touchdown through six games.
Where analysts split
The question is who is throwing to him, not his role. Penix-era optimists point to a target share above 30%. Others note that the Week 5 and 6 box scores involved two quarterbacks, and that the sources conflict on who started. NBC had Rush in Week 5, while DraftSharks said Penix should return. I could not confirm who starts at quarterback going forward.
Injury: Questionable: assessed avoid
Listed Questionable (Head), but report doesn't describe injury context
The designation says Questionable with Head listed, but the actual report text only discusses his poor statistical game and offers no detail on an injury, how it occurred, or practice participation. That mismatch means the real injury status is unknown and shouldn't be assumed minor.
What would change this: Any practice participation report or further word on what the head designation actually refers to.
Research confidence: reported. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
