He saw 11 targets against the Packers on a season-high 54 Prescott attempts. Yahoo has him at 21.7% target share with 11-plus targets in three of his last four games. FantasyPros cites a 20.8% target share and a 24.4% first-read share. Lamb and Pickens are the main competition for targets. Jake Ferguson is listed as a key teammate on SumerSports. I found no published snap share.
Draft Sharks and Yahoo point to volume. Dallas ranks fourth in neutral pass rate (63.2%) and second in pass attempts per game (41). Pickens has had 70-plus receiving yards in each of the last four weeks, averaging 90.0 yards per game in that span. The run game is weak (Javonte Williams averaging 3.7 yards per attempt) and the defense is below average, which keeps Dallas passing. Week 7 at Philadelphia is a favorable matchup because the Eagles have allowed the fifth-most points to WRs.
Lamb is the alpha, and Pickens' big games have come when Lamb was hurt or Dallas hit single-high coverage. FantasyPros notes that Pickens' target-per-route rate falls to 15% and his yards per route run to 1.59 against two-high looks. He has one touchdown this season after nine in 2025. One game this year had a 7% target share (2 catches vs. Houston) while Lamb drew 21 targets. Fantasy Life also flagged that his go-route rate is back above 30% and he has run only 10 slot routes, so his role looks more like his Pittsburgh days than last year's.

The open question is whether Pickens' target volume holds when Lamb is healthy. Draft Sharks and Yahoo read the 21% to 22% share and pass-heavy script as durable. FantasyPros and Fantasy Life stress that his best game came with Lamb injured and that he is vulnerable to two-high coverage and to Lamb-heavy games.
