Dulcich is Miami's lead tight end on paper and a modest, volume-dependent pass catcher in a low-efficiency offense, with rookie Will Kacmarek competing for snaps.

RotoWire's depth chart lists him first at tight end, ahead of Will Kacmarek and Seydou Traore (read from a search snippet, not fetched). Snaps are shared. In Week 2 he played 36 of 59 offensive snaps, mostly as a blocker (RotoWire, Sept. 21). In Week 4 against Minnesota he played 20 offensive snaps to Kacmarek's 24 and had no target (CBS/ESPN). His targets by week: 2, 3, 7, 0, then 5 in Week 5 against the Bengals, where he caught 4 for 37 yards and a two-point conversion. Athlon's snap-count piece puts Malik Washington (8 targets) and Kevin Coleman Jr. (7) ahead of him in that game. Miami has a Week 6 bye. I did not find his Week 5 snap share.
He is the top tight end on the depth chart, and ESPN's projection cites minimal tight end competition and a thin receiver group. Quarterback Malik Willis has targeted him in spots, including 7 targets in Week 3. He also finished last season strong, with a 26-335-1 line after his first target in Week 9. The Athletic's Jim Ayello called him a late-round name to watch in the preseason.
The offense is low-volume and inefficient. NBC Sports noted he averaged under 10 yards per catch in Week 5 and rates him a TE3, and said earlier that streamer value will be hard to find while Miami looks at its rookie receivers. Kacmarek out-snapped him in Week 4. Dulcich had one target in his two preseason games and has a history of injuries. He also missed part of camp with an undisclosed injury.
Where analysts split
The split is whether Dulcich holds the lead tight end role against Kacmarek's growing snap share. The follow-up question is whether the target volume (0 to 7 per game so far) can grow in an offense that is leaning on its young receivers. ESPN sees a path to a substantial target share. NBC Sports sees little streamer value.
