This is a team defense with no snap or touch split. Week 8 reporting names Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker as the edge duo and Travis Hunter as a lockdown-type corner. The Jaguars are 4-2 and coming off their Week 7 bye. Next opponents are IND, then at BAL, then at TEN (FantasyPros, Oct 27). Roto Street Journal calls their remaining schedule the easiest in the league.
The Colts offense is struggling. Rotoballer has Indianapolis 25th in EPA/play and 24th in sacks allowed per game. Daniel Jones has thrown an interception in six of seven games. Jacksonville is a 7.5-point home favorite, has allowed 20 points or fewer in five of six games, and ranks seventh in pass rush win rate (Rotoballer). Lindy's and Sports Illustrated have the unit first and fifth in their Week 8 rankings. Rotoballer ranks it fifth.
The recent fantasy production is poor. FantasyPros says the unit has not scored more than seven fantasy points in a game since Week 3. Roto Street Journal says that over its last two games, a last-second win against Philadelphia and a high-scoring loss to Houston, it totaled three fantasy points with one sack and one turnover. Sportsnaut says that through six games the defense allowed the sixth-highest yards per play (5.8), and that it is not playing up to its potential.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is whether the weak 2026 production or the soft schedule should drive expectations. The ranking sites weight the Colts matchup, the pass rush and the post-bye prep. FantasyPros and Sportsnaut point to the yards allowed and the thin recent scoring. Most outlets still treat Week 8 as a good spot. Whether the unit holds value after the Colts game is not settled in the coverage I found.
