No NFL role to measure yet. I did not read a Saints depth chart, and I found no snap or target data for him. ESPN's player page (Oct. 12) says he led this rookie class with a 35% target share over the nine weeks he was active in 2025. That is a college figure, and it was posted in the player-page profile. I found no reporting on who would lose targets when he returns.
The talent is not in question. The Saints took him eighth overall, and ESPN's profile calls him a versatile receiver with decent size who posted a 2.73 yards per route run in college, third best in his class. ESPN also says he has hit no reported snags in recovery, and Rotoballer says he is expected back on the practice field soon. The Saints' 17-game schedule leaves room for a second-half role if he returns.
Injuries cost him time in all four college seasons, and the hamstring problems are a recurring one. Moore first called this injury unrelated to his earlier ones, then reportedly changed his wording to say it was not "necessarily" related. The Saints have not yet opened his 21-day practice window. Schefter's Week 7 earliest-return estimate (reported Oct. 5) has already slipped, since he has not resumed practicing. Even after he returns, a recurrence or a ramp-up period could limit his workload. I found no reporting on how large that workload would be.

The disagreement is about timing, not talent: whether he debuts in Week 7 at Paris against the Steelers, as Schefter reported on Oct. 5, or after the Week 8 bye, which ESPN's Oct. 12 blurb calls more realistic. Rotoballer calls him a valuable stash despite no clear sign of a return. Moore said "Not right now" when asked about practicing this week, so Week 7 now looks unlikely, but the team has given no return date.
