Wilson is Arizona's lead wideruceiver by volume this season, and the open question is whether that target load holds now that his efficiency has dipped.

Statchasers (through Week 4) lists him as the starting WR with Simi Fehoko behind him, at 11.0 targets a game and 91% of offensive snaps. Draft Sharks (about 22 days old) had his target share at 29.7% entering Week 4, with Kendrick Bourne next at 9.5%. NBC Sports (Oct. 25) called him Jacoby Brissett's top target, especially when Arizona trails. Competition for looks comes from Marvin Harrison Jr., Bourne and TE Trey McBride. Sumer Sports shows McBride with 34 targets to Wilson's 31 at the time it was indexed. The wire note has him at 8 targets and 2 carries against Denver. I did not read a current depth chart page, and sources disagree on exact season totals.
Optimists point to a target-first role. He has averaged about 11 targets a game, and NBC says he drew 30 targets over two recent weeks. He has strong chemistry with Brissett after a 1,000-yard season last year, and Arizona plays from behind often, which keeps pass volume high. NBC grades him a weekly WR3 with top-24 upside.
Skeptics say the volume is inefficient and tied to game script. He catches only about 57% of his targets, and FantasyPros (about 12 days old) had him at 1.43 yards per route run and WR29 in points per game after two down weeks. Statchasers also notes his earlier production came while Arizona's top option was sidelined, and his 2023 and 2024 target shares were far lower. Drops to 4-for-7 and 4-for-8 for 32 and 55 yards show how thin the returns can be.

Whether his 25 to 30% target share is a durable WR1 role or a product of trailing game scripts and a thin receiver room. The analysts who doubt it also point to low efficiency per target.
