Collins remains Houston's unquestioned WR1 and one of the league's premier big-play, contested-catch receivers, but his weekly fantasy ceiling still hinges on erratic quarterback play from C.J. Stroud rather than anything about his own role.

Collins plays essentially every offensive snap and is consistently Stroud's first read, drawing target shares in the low-to-mid 20% range with a high average depth of target; with Tank Dell starting the year on IR, the WR2 job behind Collins is unsettled, being sorted out among Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel (working back from a hamstring issue), Kayshon Boutte and Jared Wayne, none of whom threaten Collins' target volume but whose play will determine how much single coverage he sees.
He is a big, physical alpha receiver who wins vertically and in contested situations, has posted three straight WR1-caliber fantasy-points-per-game seasons, and stands to see even more volume with no proven complementary receiver forcing defenses to respect anyone else on the field.
Stroud's accuracy and decision-making have been shaky for two years running, and per efficiency models Collins' per-target production has actually graded below plenty of lower-volume receivers, meaning the target share doesn't always translate into weekly point production; an unsettled WR2 spot could also invite more attention his way from opposing defenses.
