Through six games he had 14 catches on 27 targets for 162 yards and no touchdowns (RotoBaller). Against Kansas City in Week 7 he played 22 snaps and caught two of three targets for one yard before leaving (CBS Sports, Oct. 26). He also returned a punt for 32 yards in that game. I did not find a depth chart, a snap share or a target share for him. I also did not find who would take his snaps while he is out. Yahoo/Heavy has a 'How Seahawks Replaced Shaheed' section I did not read.
Macdonald said Monday that early returns on the knee are positive, and CBS Sports headlined it as avoiding a worst-case knee issue. He was listed as full-go in practice the Thursday before the game, so this is a new knee problem, not a continuing one. Seattle won the Week 7 game 20-3. He is a big-play player with return work, and the targets he got before leaving included a throw in the back of the end zone inside the 5-yard line.
There is no diagnosis and no timeline. Macdonald said that how long the positive early returns last is something he is not sure of, and he had no update later Monday. He had a hip issue the week before, so injuries are stacking up.
