Treylon Burks
Burks is a rotational third or fourth wideout whose role grew after Terry McLaurin's season-ending knee injury, and his production so far is thin and spiky.
Role
He played 55.2% of offensive snaps in the Week 6 loss to the 49ers (Rotoballer, Oct 26) and saw a season-high 6 targets. FantasyData had him at a season-high 59% snap share in Week 4, when McLaurin was out with a hamstring injury. Fox Sports' recap says he should keep a regular role in three-receiver sets alongside Stefon Diggs and rookie Antonio Williams. Dyami Brown also rotates at receiver, and FantasyData's preseason note also named Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane as competition. Burks was a healthy scratch in Week 1, and ESPN's game log shows target counts of 2, 3, 5 and 6 in his last four games. I did not find a published depth chart or a target-share tracker, so I can't give a target share.
McLaurin is out for the year, and Burks has raised his snap share in each game since Week 1, which reads as a trend toward more work. Rotoballer and SI both expect more playing time for him. He has scored in back-to-back weeks, including a 47-yard touchdown against the Colts. The Week 6 line (4 catches, 66 yards on 6 targets) was a season high in all three categories.
The jump to 6 targets came in one game that McLaurin left early, and the work is shared with Diggs, Williams and Brown. NBC Sports said in Week 4 that Burks isn't on the fantasy radar despite the long catch, and FantasyData framed him as a deep-league flier. His totals are small: ESPN's log shows 9 catches for 152 yards across his four games with a target. The 47-yard touchdown came on one catch from three targets, so it was a big play and not a steady workload. NBC's Week 6 headline says he departed late with an injury. I could not read the article text, and his status shows no designation, so I can't say what that referred to.
Where analysts split
The disagreement is whether McLaurin's absence turns Burks into a steady third receiver with a stable target share, or whether Williams, Brown and Diggs absorb the work and leave him a big-play rotational piece. The sources I found don't contain a firm projection of his target share.
