Wan'Dale Robinson
Robinson is the Titans' high-volume, short-area slot receiver, targeted about seven times a game for the last three weeks, but those targets have produced little yardage and he is the second option behind rookie Carnell Tate.

Slot receiver, working short and intermediate routes. RotoWire (Oct 26) has him at 29 catches on 44 targets for 205 yards and two touchdowns through seven games. He has had seven targets in three straight games, and NBC's Week 7 note said he had six. RotoWire's preseason-era profile said he would compete with Tate, Calvin Ridley (fibula at the time), Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor for receiver snaps. I did not find a current snap share or a fetched depth chart, so I give no figure for either. Through Week 4 he was second on the team in targets behind Tate, with a 20.9% team target share and a 5.5-yard average depth of target (RotoWire).
The volume is steady: seven targets in each of the last three games, a Week 3 game with 11 targets in which he led the team in targets and catches, and a Week 5 game with 6 catches for 53 yards. He has two touchdowns, a high catch rate, and a $70 million contract from a team whose offensive coordinator, Brian Daboll, knows him from the Giants. Optimists say the checkdown targets are reliable and the yardage can come if the offense opens up.
His routes are short and the yardage is minimal: 7 yards in Week 7 and 22 in Week 6. RotoWire calls his fantasy floor low because he is limited to short and intermediate routes. NBC's Rotoworld note calls him the undercard to Tate and says he should be viewed only as a FLEX option. An earlier Yahoo piece said the team was leaning toward a run-heavy, physical identity, which caps pass volume. The team is also struggling to score, and the checkdown role is not changing.

Broad agreement on the role: slot, short targets, behind Tate. The only open question is whether his steady volume of about seven targets a game can turn into yardage or whether the checkdown usage keeps it capped. I found no analyst argument beyond that.
