Lutz is Denver's established starting kicker for the rest of 2026, and the only current coverage I found is thin: a contract through 2028 and the Sunday wire line.

He is the Broncos' place kicker and handles field goals, extra points and kickoffs. I found no 2026 reporting on a competitor. The sources I found gave no kick-volume figures for this season that I could verify as current. Denver announced a three-year extension in November 2025 that keeps him under contract through 2028 (ESPN, Nov. 24, 2025). SI projected in a piece about 99 days old that he would be with the club in 2026. Your wire note has him 3-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points in the 23-17 win over the Chargers.
Denver's team site said he had made 88.6 percent of his field goals as a Bronco, the best mark in franchise history among kickers with at least 20 attempts, and 98.0 percent of his extra points. Since 2023 he has made more game-winning field goals (8) than any other kicker. That figure comes from the Broncos' site as of November 2025. Coach Sean Payton called him consistent and said he has the locker room's respect. He also went 17-for-20 on field goals through 11 games in 2025.
A kicker's fantasy value depends on how often his offense stalls and settles for field goals, and I found nothing current on Denver's 2026 scoring volume. An ESPN player-page snippet of uncertain date said Payton went for two instead of kicking extra points in one game, and that Lutz had few attempts. I could not confirm that snippet is from this season. If it is, it would show his volume can shrink.
