Zay Flowers
Flowers is the clear No. 1 receiver in Baltimore's offense and has been producing at a WR1 level this season, with Lamar Jackson's absence and his own hamstring and foot issues as the main risks.
Role
Primary target for the Ravens. Draft Sharks (checked a day ago) has his target share at 28.9%, fifth among WRs. His targets per route (37.5%) and yards per route (6.29) led all WRs on the snaps he has played, through Week 4. The Baltimore Sun (Oct 7) credits new OC Declan Doyle's scheme with giving him freedom and space. Coach Jesse Minter said before the season that he wants Flowers to touch the ball in as many ways as possible, and he uses him in the slot, outside and as a rusher. Flowers had a team-high 9 targets in the win over the Falcons and a 13-yard rush. Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews were named by Yahoo as the other pass-catching options. FanSided noted that the next two receivers combined for fewer yards than Flowers had through Week 4. I did not find or read a snap-share figure or a depth chart.
Draft Sharks projects him as a WR1 for the rest of the season. It cites 20.8 PPR points per game and nine straight WR2-or-better finishes dating back to last season. It also expects Jackson to return for a Week 6 game against Cleveland, a defense that had allowed the 8th most points to WRs. The target volume held even with Tyler Huntley at quarterback and without a touchdown in the Falcons game.
The hamstring injury ended his Week 1 early, kept him out of Week 2 and limited him in Week 3. He then carried a foot injury into the Falcons game, listed as questionable but expected to play. He has missed time already, and his early production includes a 150-yard Week 1 that he did not finish. Jackson was ruled out for Week 5, and Draft Sharks says only that he is likely to return, so quarterback availability is not settled. Flowers also did not score against the Falcons.
Where analysts split
