Pavol Regenda
Pavol Regenda is not on an NHL roster for 2026-27: he left the San Jose organization and signed in Sweden's SHL, so he has no NHL fantasy relevance this season.
Role
Per Daily Faceoff and Pro Hockey Rumors (reporting from mid-September 2026), Regenda signed a one-year contract with HV71 of the SHL after going unsigned through the offseason; Elite Prospects logged the transfer from the San Jose Barracuda organization on 09/17/2026. He is not in Sharks training camp and will not appear on an NHL line or power-play unit this season.
There is no bull case for fantasy purposes: he is playing in Sweden, not the NHL, for 2026-27.
Analysts frame him as a fringe NHL/AHL tweener (per a Yahoo Sports/The Hockey News piece from about a month before camp) who went unsigned by any NHL club through the summer before opting for a guaranteed SHL role, meaning any path back to San Jose or another NHL team this season would require a recall or trade that has not happened.
Where analysts split
No disagreement to report; the sourcing agrees he has left North American pro hockey for the SHL. The only open question, which no source addresses, is whether he retains any NHL rights or recall path back to San Jose during 2026-27.
Research confidence: reported. Outlooks are grounded in web search over current reporting and refreshed through the season.
