Kennedy Chandler

Consensus #162 · PG60 · tier 7Updated Oct 26

Chandler is a fringe free agent with no confirmed NBA role as of October 26, and I found no current coverage of rotation minutes for him.

Role

No NBA minutes or usage are reported for him. NBA.com's player news dated 9/26/2026 says he signed a Suns training camp deal. Fox Sports says the expectation was that he would be waived and sent to the G League's Valley Suns before the season. Wikipedia's lead lists him with the Valley Suns. I did not find a transaction record confirming a waiver or an affiliate assignment, and your data lists him as a free agent. Last season he played 11 games for Utah on two 10-day deals, when the Jazz were short of healthy players. I found no competition or starting-five information for him on any NBA team.

The case for

He was the G League assists leader last season, averaging 8.9 per game for Delaware, and he drew a heavy workload with Utah when the Jazz were injury-ravaged. If an injury opens a backup point guard spot, a team could turn to a distributor like him on a short-term deal.

The case against

At 6'0" he has bounced between camp deals and waivers for several seasons, with stints in Brooklyn, Toronto and Philadelphia that ended in waivers. Fox Sports described the Suns' opportunity as facing an early obstacle because of Jalen Green, and the expectation was a G League assignment. Utah chose not to keep him on a rest-of-season deal last April. His NBA minutes came only from injury-driven short-term contracts.
