Bijan Robinson is still Atlanta's lead back and the offense's centerpiece, and the Week 6 dip in touches is being read as game-script noise, not a change in role.

Starter with Brian Robinson Jr. as the backup. PFF's Week 6 recap (Oct 19) says Bijan has played over 78% of snaps in back-to-back weeks after 77% or fewer in the first four weeks. The same recap says Brian Robinson Jr. got only four touches in that game. Razzball's rest-of-season projection (about two weeks old) has him at roughly 70% snap share and 58% of team rushes, with a 16% target share. Against the Bears he had nine carries and two catches, his first game this season under 16 touches (Rotoballer, Oct 18). I did not read a current depth chart page, so I am not reporting one.
The Week 6 workload looks like game script. Rotoballer (citing ESPN) says Atlanta was forced into a pass-heavy approach early, and Bijan still averaged 6.78 yards per carry. Rotoballer calls him a locked-in elite RB1 for the next game against San Francisco. NBC's earlier notes describe him as matchup-proof because of his short-passing-game involvement, and he signed a three-year extension worth up to $75 million that makes him the highest-paid RB in NFL history.
The Falcons lost 31-23 and Bijan was held to 53 scoreless yards from scrimmage (NBC, Oct 18), including minus-8 yards on two catches. NBC notes Chicago's defense allows the fifth-highest rate of yards before contact, yet he got little going. He has also failed to score in two of five games. If Atlanta trails often, the carries can shrink, and Brian Robinson Jr. is there to take some of them.
Where analysts split
Broad agreement that he is a top-tier back. The only open question is whether Week 6 was a one-off result of game script (the Rotoballer/ESPN view) or the start of a lower carry count when Atlanta trails. I found no analyst arguing the second view.
