Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs is the Lions' clear lead back and focal point of the offense this season, and the only open question is how much of the heavy early workload holds up.

Reporting from late September and early October says Gibbs is the bell cow after the Lions traded David Montgomery to Houston. Per sidelionreport, he had a 74 percent snap share in Week 1 with career highs of 29 carries and 34 touches. FantasyData said he had 93.5% of the team's running back carries that week. The Week 7 wire note (25 carries, five catches on six targets) fits that usage. Isiah Pacheco was the RB2 but was on injured reserve (back, knee) as of FantasyData's early-season note. I did not find his current status or a current depth chart, so I can't say who is behind Gibbs now. Heavy.com reported that Jacob Saylors had no carries and Sione Vaki had two in Week 1.
Dan Campbell called Gibbs the bell cow, and the team gave him a big new extension (reported as three years, $67.5M). Montgomery is gone, and the early reporting said no backup was qualified to take work from Gibbs. He combines rushing and receiving work, with 11 catches over the first two games and five more on Sunday, so his usage doesn't depend on game script alone.
Campbell said he does not expect Gibbs to carry Week 1's load every week. Part of that Week 1 total came from an overtime game, and sidelionreport noted that five carries came on the winning drive. If Pacheco returns or another back emerges, the load could be trimmed. The reporting I found does not address how Gibbs holds up over a full 17-game season with this volume.
