Cleveland's D/ST is a matchup-driven streamer for the rest of the season, not a set-and-forget starter. It has been solid since a bad Week 1, and it leans on a pass rush that gets sacks.

This is a team unit, so there are no snap or target shares. Rotoballer (Oct 27) says the Browns have allowed 24 points or fewer in six straight games and had at least three sacks in five of those six. Sportsnaut (Oct 27) says defensive tackle Mason Graham returned in Week 7. It calls the unit blue-chip at every level. Rotoballer's Week 8 piece has Cleveland at Pittsburgh (Steelers favored by 3.5, total about 38.5) and ranks it 10th, in Tier 2. The FantasyPros game log lists Week 9 at New Orleans. I did not read a current depth chart or injury table, so I can't say who else is hurt or missing.
The pass rush produces. Rotoballer notes five sacks and two interceptions against Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers-led offense in Week 4. Pittsburgh has also allowed the most sacks in the league, with Deshaun Watson sacked 25 times through seven weeks, 14 of them in the last three games. Graham is back in the lineup. The Week 8 total is low at about 38.5, and the market implies Pittsburgh around 21 points and Cleveland about 17.5.
The Week 8 matchup is on the road, and Pittsburgh is favored by 3.5. Football Nation's guide says Pittsburgh's offense has created more scoring value and its plus-four turnover margin gives it short fields. Rotoballer's top-ranked Week 8 defense was Pittsburgh itself, and SI ranks Cleveland only 19th. Last week's top-10 projection returned only six fantasy points in the Titans game. Sportsnaut says running back Tony Pollard had 129 yards and three touchdowns against this defense that day. Week 1 was a 34-point allowance to Jacksonville.

The split is how much to trust Cleveland's recent sack-heavy run on the road at Pittsburgh. Rotoballer ranks it 10th and Sportsnaut 8th, while SI has it 19th. Those rankers are weighing Pittsburgh's offense and strong defense against Cleveland's pass rush and Pittsburgh's league-leading sack problem.
