Judkins is Cleveland's lead back and goal-line option for the rest of the season. He returned from an ankle injury in Week 7 with a big scoring game, but he played barely half the snaps while Dylan Sampson works his way back.

CBS Sports reported that he played 52% of snaps against the Titans, and that figure includes the two-touchdown game. PlayerProfiler, via PrizePicks, had him at a 60.3% snap share through five games, ranking 17th among RBs. Yahoo expected a near bell-cow role once he was healthy. Dylan Sampson (knee) is working back from injured reserve, and Yahoo expected him to take the change-of-pace and pass-catching work. Jaleel McLaughlin is also on the roster and would be pushed to a lesser role if Judkins and Sampson are both active. RotoWire noted that Judkins could cede some passing-down snaps to Sampson. I did not read a current depth chart and did not confirm Sampson's Week 7 activation. The wire note has Judkins with one target in Week 7.
CBS Sports argued that a 52% snap share has nowhere to go but up, and that his receiving profile should eventually matter. Judkins was already the lead back, with 17 carries for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the 27-24 win over the Titans. Yahoo's expectation of a near bell-cow role fits with that, and PrizePicks cited coaches saying he can play all three downs. The Browns are 5-2.
Efficiency has been poor. Through five games he had 73 carries for 221 yards, 3.0 yards per carry, and one touchdown, per PrizePicks. The Week 7 snap share was only 52% in his first game back from the ankle injury. A returning Sampson would likely take the passing-down snaps, which caps his receiving work. The Browns' quarterback situation was also called less than ideal in preseason coverage.

His low yards per carry before Week 7 also left open whether the Week 7 production was a breakout or a one-game spike.
