Week 7 Inactives: Lamar Out, Nacua Trending Up, Jacobs Starts

Lamar Jackson, Breece Hall, Tyler Warren and David Montgomery are out. Puka Nacua is a pregame call. Here are the pivots and the games still unresolved.

Ruled out this morning

Lamar Jackson (ankle) is out against Cincinnati. Rapoport says he was close and is likely back Week 8 versus Buffalo, so this is a one-week hole, not a season problem.

Breece Hall (quadriceps) is inactive versus Miami, his fourth straight absence, with a Week 8 Raiders return targeted. David Montgomery (groin) is inactive for Houston. Tyler Warren (groin) is inactive at Minnesota, which takes 27 targets out of the Colts' passing game. Emeka Egbuka (concussion) is inactive at Carolina. Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is inactive against San Francisco. Jeremiyah Love (ankle) was ruled out Friday by Mike LaFleur. Mike Evans (Achilles) is out at Atlanta.

Already gone and not coming back this year: Jalen Hurts (blood clots), De'Von Achane (ACL), Terry McLaurin (torn patellar tendon), Jaxson Dart (knee surgery). Monday night, DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is already ruled out; Saquon Barkley is questionable after a full Saturday practice and will not be settled until roughly 90 minutes before the 8:15 kickoff.

Active, go ahead

Baker Mayfield (thumb) is active at Carolina after a full practice week. Rico Dowdle (knee) is active in Paris, cleared after warmups, still working behind Warren. Cam Skattebo resumes the lead back role at Houston per Rapoport.

Justin Jefferson practiced in full Thursday and carries no designation. Brock Bowers was upgraded to full Thursday with the hamstring/calf and should be treated as a normal TE1. Christian Watson and Jordan Love both carry no designation for Detroit. Bucky Irving's illness cleared with no designation. Quinshon Judkins said he is good to go and has no designation.

Josh Jacobs is expected to start his season debut at Detroit, but Glazer says the size of his role gets decided as the game goes. That is a flex-with-eyes-open start, not a set-and-forget one.

Puka Nacua is the one genuine coin flip. The Rams are optimistic, the calf is described as minor, and he played 76 of 84 snaps in his Week 4 return. The call may not come until the pregame workout or the inactive list.

The pivot by position

QB, if you lost Lamar: Drake Maye already played Thursday (321 yards, two passing scores, a rushing score), so he is unavailable as a pivot. Joe Burrow faces Baltimore in the 1 p.m. window and is the cleanest healthy option in the pool. Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes play later.

RB, if you lost Hall, Montgomery or Love: from the healthy group, Derrick Henry, Ashton Jeanty, Kyren Williams and Chase Brown are the highest-ranked realistic adds. I do not have confirmed Week 7 backfield splits for the Jets, Texans or Cardinals replacements, so I am not naming handcuffs I cannot verify.

WR, if Nacua sits or Egbuka is on your bench: Drake London and George Pickens are the best-ranked healthy names here, though Pickens is Monday night. A.J. Brown already played Thursday.

TE, if you lost Warren: Trey McBride is the straight swap. Colston Loveland already played Thursday. Sam LaPorta, Tucker Kraft, Kyle Pitts Sr., Harold Fannin Jr. and George Kittle are all healthy in this pool.

The late games

The 4:05 and 4:25 inactive lists are not out yet. That covers Nacua at Las Vegas, Jacobs and Watson at Detroit, and Jaylen Waddle at Arizona. Waddle has no designation and said he will play, but the final list still has to confirm it.

Sunday night, Kansas City at Seattle: Rashee Rice has not practiced since Week 4 and is reported out, but I have not seen the official inactive list.

Monday night, Dallas at Philadelphia: Smith is out, Pickens practiced fully Friday and looks fine, Barkley is the live question. Nothing there is final until Monday evening.

Bills and Commanders players are on bye, which means DJ Moore, Dalton Kincaid, Ladd McConkey and McLaurin are not options this week regardless of status.
